Children and Family Ministry
"And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children." Deuteronomy 6:5-7
Children are very important to God and to the life of Mentor United Methodist Church. God gives a unique instruction to the community of faith - nurture the children. It is our aim to provide opportunities for children to encounter the living God so that God becomes important in their lives.
From birth to 6th grade the children come into contact with Jesus and alongside loving, faithful adults they become familiar with the stories and teachings of the Bible. These gifted and talented adults encourage learning in a creative, supportive and age-appropriate environment,nurturing children's growth in faith.
At Mentor UMC we are committed to making and maturing disciples of Jesus Christ. That includes the children!
