Lent Dinners & Groups

Lent Dinners & Groups

Join us for dinner on Wednesday evenings in Lent at 5:45 PM in the Gallery. We’ll eat while enjoying conversation then have a brief, camp-style worship. These meals are a cherished time of fellowship, reflection, and community. Afterward, there is an option to join a group at 6:45 PM (details below). Both the dinner and groups are FREE and can be attended separately or together. RSVP online here for dinner.

Groups

There are three in-person opportunities on Wednesday nights for those that wish to dive deeper into their faith this Lent. All groups will meet here at Mentor UMC following the meal, at around 6:45 PM and end at 8 PM. Any and all are welcome to these groups. Reach out to the group leader with any questions you have. Note: Groups will NOT meet on Wednesday, March 11th but rather join together for a special Healing Service at 6:45 PM in the Chapel. Sign up online for one of these opportunities HERE.

Tell Me Something Good
Pastor Steve and Pastor Ivy lead this in-depth look into the sermon series, “Tell Me Something Good.” Each Wednesday, we’ll study the themes and lessons from the previous Sunday’s sermon & scripture. This group will meet at Mentor UMC directly following the meal. No materials needed, but you are encouraged to look over the digital devotional to deepen your experience with this series. Sign up online here.

Social Principles
Join Youth & Young Adult Director, Mackalyn Figgins, in learning more about the UMC Social Principles. This group is good for those who seek a deeper understanding in how to engage with contemporary issues in a biblical and theological way. No materials needed. We will meet in the Youth Room following the meal. Sign up online here.

#BeUMC
Join Chris Fletcher for “#BeUMC,” an introductory, relaxed look into what being a Methodist means. We’ll meet in Gallery as the meal ends, so you don’t even need to leave your seat! No RSVP necessary and no additional materials needed. Sign up online here.

Volunteer

We are seeking individuals and groups who would like to help with the Lent dinners. There are opportunities to serve by helping prep the kitchen, set up the Gallery, greet guests, serve food, cleanup, and provide dessert. Let’s come together to make these evenings a time of nourishment for both body and spirit! Sign up online here to volunteer or visit the Info Hub
